As you can see, Sivan has lost her front top tooth--and she now looks kind of ridiculous but really cute too. She's doing great, really starting to get her sight words with reading. She is negotiating the treacherous world of female relationships...and even astutely noted that boys don't seem to care when something happens...they just roughhouse a lot. Yeah, boy relationships are easier and less emotional! (At least in kindergarten). Sivan is really learning to do handstands and cartwheels better, and is altogether growing up fast!
Matan is such a little charmer. He loves to wear his hair in pigtails "like Julia" and currently has an alter-ego of "Elsa the lion" from the movie born free. He loves calling me "mommy lion" and pretending he's a lion. To get him to do anything, you need to pretend he's a lion. He still loves the color orange and is talking a lot now. He says "actually" but still mixes up blue and yellow (and green and red)...this led me to think he's colorblind. At least they are working on colors in preschool. Sivan has learned the first half of the aleph bet, and matan gets jealous with the Hebrew reading practice, so he has also learned to identify aleph, bet, and gimel. it's pretty impressive. There is a lot of indirect learning. Matan has developed quite an attitude...see if you can guess from whom? "I hate this" "I am in a bad mood" "I'm Tired!"...etc. etc. It's so hard to shelter the second child. He loves his hero, his big sis, and copies all--the good and bad.
