kesariya
Thanks to Muki, Adam's tour guide from the West Point trip, we had a great time today. We first had an extravagant Israeli breakfast at Aroma--avocado, cream cheese, bread, egg, tuna (which no one ate), salad, fruit salad, french toast with whipped cream, and chalva. Adam focused on the American part--the french toast.
Then we drove to Quesariya and went to beach (a change of plans from going to some little amusement park that turned out to be closed). Right there is an old roman aqueduct (2000 years old) that as you can see from the pictures, my kids just climbed on...2000 year old ruins are just common playground equipment here.
I got stung by a jellyfish, but nothing like the last time I was in Israel. I got stung on my inner thighs (caught in between on both), so I looked a little ridiculous yelping with my hands between my legs. I was told peeing on it helps, and it was a convenient spot to allow that to happen, but I have my dignity.
Then we chilled at Muki's house...Matan took a nap and his kids played with Sivan. It was peace and quiet that I have not experienced much of in weeks.
Then we went to Zichron Yaakov, and I discovered another potential site for where I could live in Israel. A beautiful town up North (about 30 min south of Chaifa) where the green hills of Israel start to roll. Really cute artsy town with lots of restaurants and art galleries. Apparently it's sort of a domestic tourist destination.
And an amazing playground! Really...they just keep getting better and better!
Thanks Muki and family for a great day!
We also passed a town named "Matan" so took a picture of that street side.
While writing this, I discovered Matan has a swollen eye and 101.3 fever. $#!$#^^%@%$.
