BUZZ!!

So, you really CAN get electrocuted from a socket.  how did this happen?  In the one minute, I turned my back on Matan today, he yanked my ipod charger out of the socket, but only grabbed the case, leaving the inside danging with the usb socket.  I, (stupidly), go to touch it and BZZZZ!!! I get shocked.  It took me a long time to scrape at it with plastic trying to get this live thing out of the socket.  In Israel, it's 220 not 110 (whatever the hell that means), so I am assuming it hurt twice as much.

Sivan is doing okay in gan...for this week they are sharing a building with the little kids so Matan is hanging out a lot with her--I think he thinks he's part of the older girls.  I hear a little, but mostly I hear Sivan now saying "Ani Lo rotzah (i don't want) or Ani Rotzah (I want) or Ken or Lo" to things I say to her.  That's the extent of her hebrew usage now.  It's a tough language to just "pick up".
Matan is mostly in Englihs program, but he is becoming a little religious boy, singing and practicing Hebrew prayers around the house now.  He does shema by himself now and showed me how to cover his eyes.  The teachers love him and think he's very advanced. :)  When they say that, I like them more too :)

I'm now sitting in a coffee shop about to start working on a stupid revision of an article, while drinking te with nana (tea with mint) and a croissant.  I LOVE israeli food...espeically breakfast.  My kids are eating SALAD for breakfast every morning now.  that's pretty typical in Israel.

I think American schools should serve breakfast too.  It makes my mornings less stressful because I'm not trying to stuff my kids at 7 in the morning knowing they can't eat again until 11 am.
