Jerusalem!!!
These are not the best pictures...just the ones I took on my phone. Had a great time in jerusalem. Drove straight through downtown, and managed not to break a sweat doing so. Not easy though in the traffic...Jerusalem seems to have undergone some big changes--a lightrail, a new pedestrian mall, and overall seems nicer than the last time I came (8 years ago). We started at Mamilla pedestrian mall and ate. Then we moved on to the Old City. Sivan got to bargain and both Sivan and I ended up with belly dancing outfits (can you guess our next halloween outfits?). Then had ice cream. Then to kotel. It is so amazing when you first see the wall, temple mount, mosques...it's like out of a postcard. Matan, as you can see below, made it his job to find all the prayers on the floor and put them in the wall. Then we met Denise and my dad downtown and got to see the pedestrian mall and sit outdoors and eat an early dinner (great weather by 5 pm!). Then we walked to our car, and then drove to Tayelet. Then I took a very roundabout way out of Jerusalem. After we got back, Rhona and I left kids with babysitter, and I drove to Tel Aviv to have bread with zatar and tea on beach.
Big surprise--Matan wanted an Orange balloon!
Matan at the kotel.
Sivan prays at the kotel
Matan tried to pick up all the fallen notes at the kotel and put them back in the wall.
A view--my camera pictures are much better than my phone ones....
