New Camera!

After five years, my (Adam) trusty canon A95 camera finally bit the dust. I was devastated; it has taken wonderful pictures of our wedding, honeymoon, and birth of Sivan, among many other things. For whatever reason, canon has decided to stop making a small digital camera with an articulating LCD screen, an amazing feature that allows you to take pictures from any angle. After doing a lot of research, I decided to go with a Panasonic zuperzoom, and its first batch of pictures is above. Sadly, I think much of my decision was based on the ever-slim possibility that I might someday go storm chasing in the Plains. My colleagues have had a remarkable chase this year, and I have been drooling over their pictures on an almost daily basis.

As a side note, it looks like we'll have another change in the family; I think we're selling our convertible. I really don't want to get rid of it, but after getting 34" of snow in one storm alone this winter, we realize that it's probably more practical to get an all-wheel drive vehicle. At least Yasmine realizes it. I, of course, am much less practical
