Sivan is a two year old
Sivan really does the whole "act like a two year old" really well. So much for tantrums being because a child can't communicate with words. No, Sivan has lots of words. But, boy does she know how to throw a tantrum. "I WANNA SLEEP IN IMA'S BEDDDDDDDDDDDDD" OR "I DON'T WANNNA GO POTTTTTTTTTTY" "NO, I WANT THIS ONE!!"
The scariest is when she THROWS her head back with no regard as to what might be behind her.
Sivan also has to do everything by herself. Today I was helping her with the toilet and because she didn't want help, she demanded I close the toilet seat just so she could open it again. She is a character!
We had a great time in Florida. Adam and I went on a 3 days cruise and Sivan stayed with grandma and grandpa, and she had a great time. We got a fishtank, and Sivan named the fish, "PUPpy, and pupPY (different syllables accented), mommy and daddy, wet and dry, teddy and tada". Daddy died yesterday and I quickly scooped daddy out of the fishtank before Sivan saw this floating algae eater. But then I realized, I can't protect her from all of life's pains. So I explained later that afternoon that Daddy died. But what does that mean? Suddenly, I found myself struggling with the whole concept and wondering how I ever understood death. "he was sick...so he went to sleep...he kind of stopped working...he's gone now'. Then I figured I should point out Kiska also died. I explained this, and then couldn't handle it. Within about three minutes, I resorted to "doggy heaven" where Kiska's running around happy and free playing with other dogs. Eh, maybe I want to believe that too :) In any case, this morning, Sivan told me Kiska died and then told me she's naming her stuffed dog (that my parents got her) Kiska. I almost cried.
