I'm 2 Months Old!!

The last two months have been very exciting for me. I was born, had my first poops, pees, and spit ups. I learned to recognize my mom and smile at her (she seems to really enjoy that). I also have grown to love my nightly baths (particularly when my dad gives them to me). I can now track objects and move my head around exploring my new world. I no longer enjoy cuddling very much. But I love to kick and squirm. I also have started going longer stretches of sleep at night. I have some insomnia during my daytime attempt at napping. Seems mom is struggling with this one. It's kind of like, I NEED to sleep, but I just don't want to...and then I cry a lot because I'm so confused. But if you want to see me in a GREAT mood, my favorite time of the day is 6 am. I smile the most then--mostly because my parents seem to make funny sounds (groans and moans) and look very silly at that hour with their eyes all half closed. When I really want to hear them make noise, I poop while the diaper is off. I love when I send it flying somewhere and they shreak with delight! I try to do it often! I have spent the last couple weeks in Marco Island, Florida, and got to meet three of my great-grandparents as well as hang out with my Floridian grandparents. It's been great--tons of attention. But sometimes I miss the snow. Last night I finally discovered my thumb. It works better than a pacifier because I never lose it! I make tons and tons of laundry and Grandma Rhona sure takes care of making sure I have something clean. Hope mom and dad can keep up with me when it's just them! As for my weight, I'm nearly 11 pounds! My parents call me names like "fatso". Pfff. Mom should talk. She has yet to get into her pre-pregnancy pants!
they call this a sivan sandwich. ugh, they TORTURE ME!

See? I help with the laundry! Or rather help make the laundry!

Check me out with the great-grandparents! I was a big hit :)

Yasmine,

She is a doll! What a beauty! Jason got a laugh out of the Sivan sandwich, but we agree you have such a beautiful family.

Love,
Shannon

I'm so jealous! I want to see my great niece. I love the picture of Sivan in the laundry basket. You guys look terrific for people who are sleep deprived! You look great for people who are not sleep deprived. Wish I could see you now.
